The 520 floating bridge is one of the landmark bridges of Western Washington. It is the longest floating bridge in the world at 7,578 feet.
This shot was taken from above the east highrise of the bridge. I scouted out this location in summer, but it was not as interesting without the snow capped Olympics.
The best time to take pictures at this location is from January to April. The sunny days following a snowstorm are the best days for this shot. Mornings are better as it tends to be brighter with less cloud cover. I used a B+W circular polarizer to cut out the glare in the water and also to darken the skies.
